Since I joined Veligandu in November 2024, I have been inspired daily by the joy our guests feel when discovering the island’s wonders. Stepping onto Dhonveli Beach for the first Hot Pot & Grill by Shore trial evening, I was greeted by the scent of firewood and the subtle spices in the air. The open-air setting, with the sun dipping below the horizon, set the stage for something unforgettable.

Floating gently on the water, I sipped fine loose-leaf teas, fresh tropical juice, Kurumba, and a 375ml bottle of Ernest Rapeneau Champagne while enjoying a curated selection of sweet and savory bites.
The surprise cake from our pastry chef Nandana made the moment feel truly magical. The serenity of the experience made me wish my wife was there with me…to share this intimate afternoon and imagined her smiling beside me.
